Description

Triple-arch rubble stone road bridge, built c.1800, spanning the Buingea River. Segmental-arches with dressed limestone voussoirs springing from rubble stone piers. Rubble stone spandrels and parapets with solider capping stones.

Appraisal

The fine stone parapet walls of this bridge are visible from the approach road the east, and bring interest to this rural landscape. Vertical coping stones and dressed voussoirs add textural interest. It is one of group of several rubble stone bridges over the Buingea River, which were built by skilled local craftsmen.
