Double gate level crossing, built c. 1900, comprising timber and concrete posts, timber gates and metal ties and fixings. Wrought-iron pedestrian gates to north and south sides of west gate.
Evidence of railway service discontinued in 1963. Although disused, much form and fabric retained. Part of group with tracks, platforms, and other railway structures. Level crossings increasingly rare, as were often replaced with bridges.
