Terraced two-bay three-storey former house, built c.1820, with recent timber shopfront to front (south) elevation. Now in use as office. Pitched slate roof with overhanging eaves, having rendered chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls to upper floors. Camber-headed window openings with render sills and uPVC casement windows to upper floors. Shopfront comprising fluted pilasters surmounted by fascia board and cornice. Square-headed window opening having fixed timber-framed display window over panelled rendered stall riser. Square-headed door opening having timber panelled door and overlight.
A fine former house which is of a similar scale and proportion to many of the buildings in the town's historic core, and is an excellent example of the architectural heritage which creates Clonakilty's unique character. The slightly oversailing eaves, camber-headed openings and lined-and-ruled render add to its charm.
