Terraced two-bay three-storey former house, built c.1800, with shopfront to front (north) elevation. Now in use as retail outlet. Pitched slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods. Smooth rendered walls with cast-iron bracing plates to first and second floors. Diminishing square-headed window openings with stone sills, having six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Timber shopfront comprising pilasters surmounted by fascia and moulded cornice. Square-headed window opening with timber-framed display window having arcaded round-headed fixed panes on slender timber mullions. Square-headed door opening having timber panelled door with double round-headed overlight.
The scale and form of this building is in keeping with the fine historic terrace of which it is an integral part. The three-storey scale of much of the historic core gives the town a sense of prosperity and grandeur. The traditional timber sliding sash windows and wide eaves are characteristic of Clonakilty and are noteworthy traditional features.
