Terraced three-bay three-storey former house, built c.1820, with recent timber shopfront to ground floor. Now in use as shop with apartment accommodation to upper floors. Pitched slate roof with overhanging eaves, having rendered chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls to first and second floors. Camber-headed window openings with stone sills and incised render voussoirs, having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening giving access to upper floors, having timber panelled door with overlight. Timber shopfront comprising fluted pilasters, surmounted by scrolled consoles and fascia board with recent lettering. Square-headed window openings having fixed timber-framed six-pane display windows. Square-headed door opening having glazed timber door with overlight.
The scale and form of this building is in keeping with the fine historic terrace of which it is an integral part. Though the shopfront at ground floor level is a recent insertion, the upper section retains much of its traditional character, particular in the lined-and-ruled render, camber-headed openings, timber sliding sash windows and oversailing eaves.
