Terraced two-bay three-storey house, built c.1810, having shopfront to front (north) elevation. Pitched slate roof with rendered eaves course and uPVC rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls. Diminishing square-headed window openings with render sills and one-over-one timber sliding sash windows. Timber shopfront comprising panelled pilasters, architrave, frieze and cornice. Square-headed window openings having two-pane fixed timber-framed display windows over rendered stall riser having timber facia board. Square-headed door opening having timber panelled door surmounted by bipartite overlight.
An interesting building which forms part of a historic terrace in the town's main commercial street. Its steeply pitched roof and small scale façade provide an interesting contrast with the larger scale surrounding buildings. One of a pair of similarly sized buildings, it retained historic features including diminishing sash windows and a fine timber shopfront with expansive windows, pilasters and simple detailing.
