Terraced four-bay three-storey former house, built c. 1800, now in use as retail outlet and commercial offices. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack, rendered parapet and rooflights. Rendered walls with segmental-arched openings to upper floors. Timber sash windows to first floor, and replacement uPVC windows to second floor. Timber fixed windows and timber doors to ground floor with plastic fascia above.
This former house makes a notable and positive addition to the streetscape, due to the scale and form of the building. This building forms part of an imposing terrace of three- and four-storey buildings. Though many interesting features and materials have been replaced, this building remains an integral part of this group. The former house is enhanced by the retention of the segmental-arched openings, slate roof and timber sash windows. Survey of Cork City Interiors, 1986 mentions good open well staircase and curious plan.
