Description

Three-storey hospital, c. 1775, built around an open quadrangle with end and central breakfronts to North facade and rusticated carriage arch with evidence of Venetian and Diocletian windows above to central breakfront. Slate pitched roof. Altered and modernised, c. 1975.

Appraisal

Although altered and refenestrated this building is important as part of the South Infirmary hospital complex and once housed the blind asylum. The west range was demolished, c. 1985.
