Six-bay double-height electricity generating station, c. 1900, having camber-headed openings, pair of Dutch gables and blind openings; now site of National Sculpture Factory.

Appraisal

This is an important brick industrial building, part of a group of brick industrial and commercial buildings on this site, with an important connection with the industrial history of the city as an electricity generating station, and a continuing cultural significance through its use as the National Sculpture Factory.
