Description

Terraced three-bay two-storey house, dated 1853. Pitched slate roof with terracotta ridge tiles, red brick chimneystacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted pebbledashed walls with smooth rendered plinth. Decorative painted stone date plaque with 'B' and '1853' in raised lettering and crown motif over front door. Square-headed window openings having painted rendered surrounds, stone sills and recent timber windows. Square-headed door opening with painted rendered surround and recent timber door.

Appraisal

This mid-terraced house forms a noteworthy addition to O'Neill Street. The decorative stone date plaque above the front entrance is an interesting feature and contributes to the visual appeal of the building. It was built as part of a symmetrical grouping.
