Circular-plan tapered stone beacons, built c.1800, with conical caps.
These beacons where built to guide traffic along the Boyne estuary and into Drogheda Port. This area of Meath has a long tradition of sea trading and fishing and this adds to the historical interest of the structures. They were marked as Direction Posts on OS1 (1837).
