Appraisal

This imposing building creates a considerable presence in the streetscape by virtue of its height, mass and steeply pitched roof. The roof pitched is of particular interest and is suggestive of an early date. Shandon Street is one of the oldest continually inhabited sections of Cork city and this townhouse contributes to its sense of history and its architectural variety.
