Section Comments This site is not shown on the 6 inch or 1 inch OS maps, but the long, straight, broad drive with avenue trees and the regularly marked hedgerow trees in surrounding fields and domestic enclosures suggest planning and improvement. Is this a new demesne in the creation, or a much older demesne, named after the Townland, in decline and now serving as a farm ? There are signs of changes since the 1860 s map including planting of areas of woodland.
