Description : Known as Woodland in the early 19th century, a modest demesne with house, outbuildings, two gate lodges c.1840 for the four entrances and a walled garden. The house was surrounded by trees and there were shelter belts on three sides and avenue trees along the approach drives. The layout is unchanged. The house is now derelict, the gate lodges have gone and few mature trees remain, through there is regeneration. The land is farmed and the stone outbuildings are in use. Vestiges of internal hedging can be seen in the walled garden. A stream marks the southern boundary of the garden.
