Name of Site : Clonleigh
Address :
Previous Name :
Description : Demesne on the shores of the River Foyle for a modest Georgian house, now gone. A range of stone outbuildings remain and a large brick lined walled garden. The layout is unchanged, with a main entrance from Lifford, with a c. 1863 gate lodge, which is a replacement and lived-in, though the approach drive is disused. The back entrance and drive are used as access to the farm buildings. There are very few mature trees but the field boundaries remain. Buildings were added to the south in the mid 19th century. There is a modern bungalow to the west of the house site, adjacent to the road.
